What is a moving broker, and how is that different from a moving company?
A moving broker arranges the transportation of your household goods; a moving company (motor carrier) owns the trucks and performs the move. As a licensed broker, we don’t transport goods ourselves — we use our carrier network and industry knowledge to find you a licensed, insured mover at a competitive price, then coordinate the move from booking through delivery. Federal law requires both brokers and interstate carriers to register with the FMCSA.
Why use a broker instead of calling moving companies directly?
